La thèse analyse la naissance des nouveaux concepts du teenager et de la sous-culture des jeunes dans la Grande-Bretagne post-guerre et les réponses en termes de politiques publiques de jeunesse. Il s’agit d’évaluer comment les gouvernements conservateurs et travaillistes ont appréhendé les jeunes et s’ils ont créé et mené une vraie politique de jeunesse en faveur des jeunes.
