Nick Rees-Roberts is Professor of Media, Culture and Communication at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Paris, France, where he is the director of the Masters programme in Fashion and Creative Industries in the Faculty of Arts and Media. He holds a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex (UK). He was formerly Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol (UK) from 2007 to 2016. Professor Rees-Roberts’ research focuses on contemporary media-culture in the intersecting fields of fashion studies, film studies, and gender and sexuality studies. He is the author of Fashion Film: Art and Advertising in the Digital Age (2018), French Queer Cinema (2008/2014); co-author of Homo exoticus: race, classe et critique queer (2010); and co-editor of Alain Delon: Style, Stardom and Masculinity (2015) and Isabelle Huppert: Stardom, Performance, Authorship (2020).

Nick Rees-Roberts est Professeur des Universités en Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication à l’Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3, où il est directeur du programme de Master Design : Mode et Industries Créatives à l’UFR Arts & Médias. Il est diplômé d’un master en lettres modernes de l’université d’Oxford et d’un doctorat en Media and Cultural Studies de l’université de Sussex au Royaume-Uni. Spécialiste des médiacultures contemporaines, ses recherches portent sur la culture et communication de mode. Il est l'auteur des ouvrages Fashion Film: Art and Advertising in the Digital Age (2018), French Queer Cinema (2008/2014), Homo exoticus: race, classe et critique queer (co-écrit avec Maxime Cervulle, 2010), et co-directeur (avec Darren Waldron) de Alain Delon: Style, Stardom and Masculinity (2015) et Isabelle Huppert: Stardom, Performance, Authorship (2021).
