Beckett has been read and performed differently in France, Germany, Ireland or the English-speaking world at large. As has often been remarked, the native critical traditions surrounding his oeuvre seem estranged from one another. Regardless of cultural specificities or research specialization areas, the aim of this conference is to bring together such seemingly unrelated approaches, so as to challenge them. Be it on stage or in print, how and to what extent can they be made to converge? Today, is it possible to interpret, translate or perform Beckett's work through an interrelated perspective, and have there been attempts to do so in the past?
