Objectives
The programme objectives relate to a number of professional profiles within the fashion creative economy:
- fashion design and product development
- set design and retail design
- fashion media and communications
- fashion culture and luxury brand heritage
Through their professional experience during the programme, students will learn how to develop a design proposal related to the specific strategic needs of fashion/luxury sector, cultural institutions linked to fashion/luxury, PR, communications and trend forecasting. At the end of the programme, students produce a professional dissertation examined by a jury of academics and professionals.
Programme-specific Information
The Masters programme in Fashion and Creative Industries at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 is run in partnership with the École Duperré, École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués, Paris. The programme includes there a separate class for those students who obtain apprenticeships with the LVMH design houses through the Institut des Métiers d’Excellence.
- The Professional Dissertation
Students produce a professional dissertation, which charts the development of their individual project in the context of their professional work as an apprentice during the programme. - The Main Project
At the end of the MA programme, students make formal presentations of their work in front of a panel of academics and practitioners. The presentation format will vary according to the framework and content of the apprenticeship (fashion/accessories collection, set design project, retail design project, cultural project, communications project).
