Accommodation for International Students Outside Exchange Programmes

Accommodation in Paris and  Ile-de-France

  • Paris is an attractive city and accommodation is highly sought-after: we therefore strongly advise you to start looking for accommodation as soon as possible in order to maximise your chances of finding an accommodation.  You can consult the CROUS pages and those of Campus France, which have compiled accommodation options for international students outside exchange programmes.
     

Temporary Accommodation

  • Accommodation Guide includes several temporary accommodation solutions for your first days in France, which can be used to justify of a temporary accommodation when applying for a visa .

University Halls of Residence (CROUS)

  • Requests for accommodation in a CROUS university residence are extremly high. Therefore, international students outside exchange programmes who do not benefit from a scholarship are not given priority for CROUS accomodation. As a result, they have to find another form of accommodation using the CROUS and Campus France pages, as well as the accommodation guide for international students outside exhange programmes.

International Welcome Desk


  • In order to facilitate your arrival in Paris, the Cité Universitaire Internationale de Paris (CIUP) has set up a Welcome Desk run by a multilingual team, who provides guidance when completing adminstrative procedures and looking for accommodation.
